PAOLA ISAAC BARAYA

INTERNATIONAL TRADE ADVOCATE

Ms. Baraya develops and implements international trade policies and strategies to further Broward County’s position as a global center within the South Florida region and throughout the U.S. She helps Broward County companies to reach global markets through the Export Readiness 11 Steps to Exporting – A Roadmap to your Exporting Success; Doing Business with - and Florida Export Opportunities in International Markets seminar and workshop series. She organizes outbound and inbound missions, and helps to strengthen worldwide partnerships for the County, while acting as protocol officer for international affairs.  She is widely recognized for her coordination of the annual FITCE expo.

 

In 2013, Ms. Baraya received the “International Businesswoman of the Year” award in the Service Category, from the Organization of Women in International Trade (OWIT). In  2015, she received the Distinguished Woman of the Year Award from the Lauderhill Chamber of Commerce. Ms. Baraya also serves as a board member for the Organization of Women in International Trade and the Quebec-Floride Chamber of Commerce. Born in Montreal, Canada, Ms. Baraya holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Commerce from McGill University, and an MS Degree in Business Administration from the University of Montreal. Ms. Baraya is fluent in French, Italian, Spanish and has knowledge of German and Portuguese.

 

     Ms. Baraya represents Broward County as an International Trade Resource for our MBDA Export Center and Florida’s Annual MEDWeek.  For her hard work and dedication, we are very pleased to present the MEDWeek2022 Legacy Award for International Trade Advocacy  to Paola Isaac Baraya.
